Privacy Policy

The short version

CompareFlights does not collect personal data from you. There is no signup, no account, no login and no email capture anywhere on this site. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or any other identifying detail, and we do not build a profile of you.

This page explains, in plain terms, exactly what does and does not happen when you use compareflights.co.in.

Who we are

CompareFlights (compareflights.co.in) is operated by The Media Flow Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 06769171), with a registered office in Leicester, United Kingdom. We run the CompareFlights network of flight comparison sites, of which this India edition is part.

For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act"), we would be the Data Fiduciary for any personal data we processed. In practice we process no personal data through this site. If you have any question about privacy, email us at [email protected].

What data we collect

We do not collect personal data. We do not run forms that capture personal information, we do not operate user accounts, and we do not send marketing email because we hold no email addresses.

When you visit any website, your browser sends technical information — such as your IP address and browser type — to the server delivering the page, and our hosting provider records standard server logs (page requested, time, and the like) for security and to keep the service running. These logs are not used to identify you and are not combined with any other data to build a profile.

The route, destination and date details you type into a flight search are used only to build the search request and send you to the booking partner. They are not stored against you and are not linked to any identity.

We do not collect or store payment information. CompareFlights is a price comparison service. All flight bookings are completed on third-party partner websites (airlines and online travel agents), and we have no visibility of, or responsibility for, payment data entered on those sites.

Cookies and advertising

This site displays advertising served by Google AdSense. We do not run third-party analytics of our own that profile you across sites, and we do not run Google Analytics.

Google AdSense uses cookies and similar technology to serve ads and, where you have not opted out, to personalise them; you can review and control this at adssettings.google.com. We also use a small first-party preference, set on your own device, to remember a choice such as your currency. It is not shared with anyone and is not used to track you.

When you click through to a booking partner, that partner may set its own affiliate-tracking cookie on its own site so that a resulting booking is correctly attributed to CompareFlights. That cookie is set by the partner, under the partner's own policy, after you leave our site. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.

No analytics of our own

To be clear about what this site does not do: there is no Google Analytics and no third-party profiling or behavioural-tracking script of our own beyond the Google AdSense advertising described above. We do not measure you, score you, or place you into audiences ourselves. If we ever add analytics, we will update this page first (see our Cookie Policy).

Who we share data with (recipients and processors)

We work with a small number of service providers and travel partners. The technical processors below handle data needed to deliver and protect the site; the affiliate partners only receive data when you choose to click through to them. This is the full list — there are no others.

We do not sell personal data — and in any case we hold none to sell. We do not share data with data brokers or advertisers. When you follow a link to a partner site, that site's own privacy policy governs what it then collects.

International transfers

Because our hosting (DigitalOcean), our CDN/DNS (Cloudflare), Google AdSense and some affiliate partners are based in the United States, the limited technical data described above (chiefly IP address in server logs, request metadata, and — where you have not opted out — advertising identifiers processed by Google) may be transferred to and processed in the USA or other countries outside India.

Where such transfers happen, they are made under appropriate safeguards — such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy determination where applicable — and in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and any restrictions notified by the Central Government under it.

Your rights as a Data Principal under the DPDP Act

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, an individual whose personal data is processed (a "Data Principal") has the following rights in respect of a Data Fiduciary:

Because we do not collect or hold personal data about you, in normal use there is nothing for us to access, correct or erase. If you believe we hold data about you, or you want to raise a privacy concern, you may exercise any of these rights through the contact below.

Grievance redressal and the Data Protection Board

For any grievance under the DPDP Act, or any privacy concern, contact the grievance route for the Data Fiduciary, The Media Flow Ltd, at [email protected] with "Data request" in the subject line. The grievance function is handled by the Director of The Media Flow Ltd. We will acknowledge and respond within a reasonable period.

India's data-protection authority under the Act is the Data Protection Board of India. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your grievance, you have the right to complain to the Board after first raising the matter with us.

Children

This site is a general-audience travel information service and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, and the DPDP Act's additional protections for children's data are not engaged because we collect no personal data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology or legal requirements. If we ever start collecting personal data, running analytics that profile you, or running advertising, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date before that change takes effect.

We encourage you to review this page periodically. This policy was last reviewed and updated in August 2026.
